Alok Katkar is a photographer and educator based in Pune, India. He has completed his Master's degree in Journalism and Mass Communication and holds a Certification in Visual Design & User Experience from IIT Hyderabad.
In over 8 years of diverse experience in photography and academics, he has earned specialisation in wildlife photography, still life photography, and digital post-processing. His work has been featured on numerous national and international platforms, garnering awards and recognition in various contests and exhibitions.
As an avid birdwatcher, he has recorded more than 300 species of birds and holds a Certification in Ornithology from the Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS).
Over his academic tenure, he has worked with several universities across Pune. He is currently associated with MIT-WPU School of Design, Bharati Vidyapeeth's School of Photography, and Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth as a Visiting Faculty Member. He has also worked with some of the renowned brands, including Ranka Jewellers, Jupiter Hospital, VH1 Supersonic, and ARAI (Pune).
