ABOUT ME

Alok L Katkar

Alok Laxmikant Katkar is a nationally and internationally published photographer based in Pune, India. He is a postgraduate in Journalism & Mass Communication and has completed the Advanced Certification Course in Photography. He has a Certification in Ornithology from the Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS).

In his 8 years of experience, he has earned specialization in wildlife photography, product photography, and digital post-processing. His work has been featured on several national and international platforms and has received awards and recognition in several contests and exhibitions.

Being an avid birdwatcher, he has recorded and photographed more than 250 species of birds to date.

Currently, he is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication at Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, Pune and has worked for some renowned brands like Ranka Jewellers, Jupiter Hospital, VH1 Supersonic, Reserve Bank of India, and ARAI (Pune).
